Mrs Natalie Last
I have 13 years of teaching experience, 6 of which I have spent in varying leadership roles within different schools in the Academy of Character and Excellence. Prior to this, I lived and taught in Manchester and this was where I completed by Geography degree and my Primary PGCE. Having worked in such different schools in both the north and south of the country, I have a wealth of experience of different settings and therefore different ways in which children learn. However my experience is mainly in KS2 and specifically, I enjoy leading in English. I value the importance of reading, as without this skill being developed to a high level, children are not able to access the rest of the curriculum and more importantly, they are not able to make sense of the world around them. Having moved from Manchester, my favourite thing about being in Devon is always being by the sea. I enjoy spending my weekends exploring new beaches with my daughters, who are 4 and 1. Otherwise, you will find me in my kitchen, whipping up my favourite Vicotria Sponge to enjoy with a cup of tea!
